i live at home still, and my dad keeps getting hounded by the elders to kick me out! in the cold and snow? gotta be kidding me!
my dad's too cowardly to do it. but he's weak. he can give in! maybe not to my needs, but to theirs? absolutely! sadly, my parent have no life outide the cult, especially my dad. wish i could get them out.

Attending college as an active JW
by CHILD inhas anyone on this board attended college or knows anyone who attends as an active jw?
how many remain in the organization after graduation?
i was baptized in 1988 and was encouraged to stop college after 2 years.

Can't find info... Watchtower says it's written work is 'part of bible'
by mkr32208 inthere was a thread a few months back that contained a scan of (i think) the dec 15th watchtower where they said that the watchtower was to be considered part of the bible.
i really want to find that thread, i've been looking for hours i thought i had commented on it but it's not in my 'threads posted on' and i've been going through pages and pages and pages of threads and i've tried search but just can't find it.. .
does anyone who might have posted on that thread have a link to it?

i might be stoned for this but i think sir82's right. if it was referring to the watchtowers n books, wouldn't it add "and still being added into..." after "become"? it could be a code kinda thing, but i see this as a furtune cookie thing like some things in the bible are. like the eating of jesus' flesch that catholics take literally. i think "xtian teachings" in this sense means the stuff by paul n that.
i AM NOT defending the dubs, just think that there should be a careful consideration of what's written there. i think that quote is more of the WTBTS's ultimate wet dream, besides wiewing themselves as gods.

What was the most profound spiritual moment of your life?
by cluless inmine was simply the realisation that if a person had faith they wouldnt need a religon.. infact not associating with any religouse association is a bit like being on the oceon in a rowing boat.
but the thing is i dont care if the oceon gets rough.
it doesnt matter not having the answers.

mine is when my prayers are never answered and that there's no god. hehe. does that count?
no matter how often i prayed, nothing happened. the only time one seemed to be answered, it must've been some kind of co-incidence.
